I use ADD's DMV123 record search for every vehicle traded it to us. The report shows the state the vehicle is titled in, the names of the owners, names of the registrants, and who the lien holder is. Our new GM now requires this report on every used vehicle. We avoid title nightmares in the future by knowing in the beginning what we are dealing with.
